各種死法的英文
關於死法的描述，有一個很重要的片語 die of+死因
或是你採用被動的說法 be +Vpp. to death
(1) 吊死
hang v. 吊死別人 或是自己上吊都叫做hang (vpt跟vpp都是hung)
die of being hung
hang oneself
ex: She died of being hung. 她被人吊死
She hung her self. 她自己上吊
(2) 淹死
drown v. 可以解作用淹死自己的方式自殺
或是非自願性的被淹死(謀殺或意外)
ex: He drowned himseif.
He was drowned.
(3) 燒死
die in a fire 只能解釋成在火場中死亡，不能說是燒死，說不定是嗆死的
燒死的正確說法應該是 be burned to death
活活燒死叫做 be burned alive
(4) 撞死
die in a crash 應該是死於一場交通事故，可能是車禍也可能是空難
而撞死通常要看你是被什麼東西撞死，被車撞死或是被猛獸撞死都有可能
最通常的說法叫做 die of being hit by sth.
被車撞死就是 by a car ，鬥牛時被牛撞死就是 by a bull
(5) 毒死
單純的一個動詞poison只能解釋做下毒，不能解釋成是毒死
毒死別人就是 poison sb. to death 或是 kill sb. with poison
被毒死應該是 die of being poisoned 或 be poisoned to death
用毒藥殺死 kill sb. with poison
因中毒而死 die of poison
(6) 自殺
正式的說法是 commit suiside，桃子小姐這次說對了
簡單的說法是殺掉自己 kill oneself
(7) 嗆死
choke 的正解是使...缺氧
所以被煙、毒氣或是被食物嗆到叫做 be choked to death by smoke etc
勒住別人不讓他呼吸也是用 choke
She was choked. 只能說她被嗆到了，有死沒死還不知道
Something choked her. 同樣只能說是某物使她嗆到，有死沒死也不清楚
嗆死應該要說成是 be choked to death by sth.
(8) 壓死
如果你的意思是被空中落下的東西壓死，用 hit 即可， by a falling object
如果是指被卡車輾死的那種壓法，用 A truck ran over him to death.
press這個動作，是壓按鈕、壓花的那種壓法，壓的死人才有鬼
(9) 摔死
stumble 是說絆倒的那種摔法
除非是老人家或是喝得很醉，不然很少人會因為絆倒死掉
我猜你想問的是從高空落下的死法
He fell from the cliff and died.
She killed herself by jumping off the building.
(10) 炸死
He died of the explosion. 或是 in the explosion 也可
of 是指死因， in 是指場所
(11) 咬死
主動 die of being bitten by sth.
被動 bite sb. to death
(12) 姦殺
主動 rape and murder/kill
被動 be raped and murdered/killed
畸形兒、基因突變
是oaf 跟 gene mutation 沒錯
不過 vampire 雖然解釋成僵屍，但其實專指吸血鬼
僵屍應該解作 zombie 比較貼切
zombie 才是會走路、會活動的死屍

eg. She commited suicide.
壓死: die of being pressed
eg. She died of being pressed by a heavy box.
嗆死: choke (v.)
eg. Something choked her.
She was chocked.
摔死: die of stumble
She die of stumble.
炸死: die in an explosion
eg. She died in an explosion.
咬死: die of being bitten
She died of being bitten by a dog.
姦殺: rape and murder
eg. Someone raped and murdered her.
She was raped and murdered.
畸形兒: oaf (n.)
基因突變: gene mutation (n.)
